Samsung's NX Mini aims to be the ultimate selfie camera

Samsung recently announced the NX mini, a latest addition to its growing portfolio of mirrorless camera. Samsung's new interchangeable-lens camera system focuses on small size, connectivity and good looks.Oh, and selfies. It is called Samsung NX Mini, and it will hit the shelves in the month of April with a $450 and $550 kit. 

Samsung's NX Mini is out to capture the minds and hearts of fashionable and self obsessed folk who want to setup up from cellphone but don't want to lug around larger mirrorless or DSLR camera. Samsung's NX Mini 3-inch screen rotates at 180 degrees, so you can see how you are posing for that selfie.

While taking selfie picture you don't even have to press the shutter button, as that could jog the camera, making for a blurry shot. Instead, just wink, and the digital camera will just snap a picture 2 seconds later.

The minuscule 9mm f/3.5 (24mm-equivalent) lens can also capture a lot of people in a group shot, so it is definitely perfect for recreating that selfie from the Oscars.

The NX Mini may be small in size, but it is 20.5-MP sensor ensures pictures are packed with details. You can also easily take pictures in quick succession using 6fps while using continuous shot mode.

It has many more features, too. Wi-FI and NFC are on board for sharing your snaps wirelessly, and it can even double as a baby monitor, Using NFC, it activates your pair cellphone via with an application, so you can easily see if you need to attend your child.

At the weight of 158g (without the lens) and 22.5mm thin. It is a real pocket rocket. It comes in either black, white, or mint green colors.

Samsung's NX Mini will be on sale in the month of April, along with a range of NX Mini lenses to choose from. Or you can buy only an adapter, & use lenses from the standard NX.
