Xbox One Finally Outsells The PlayStation 4


Xbox One Finally Outsells The PS4 After Latest Price Cut.

According to GameSpot: "Microsoft's Xbox One finally outsells the Sony's PlayStation 4 to become the number one selling game console in the month of November in UK And USA".

This comes when Microsoft cut down the price of Xbox One by $50 to $349, a move that has yet to matched by Sony (the PS4 is $399).

Microsoft has been aggressively marketing and discounting the game console, and bundling it with a range of games as well as other products, in an attempt to win against rival PS4, which has beaten the Xbox One on sales in almost every month since they were released.

However, last time the Xbox One outsold against PlayStation 4 in Decemeber 2013.

"We are committed to making Xbox One the best play to play, with this year's best games, the best community of gamers to play with and terrific value, "Microsoft's VP of corporate marketing Mike Nichols, said in a statement to Gamespot. "We are amazed by the excitement fans of Xbox One have shown to start off this holiday. Month of November set a new record for sales of Xbox One and this game console is now the best-selling console in the UK and USA.

Microsoft also announce in the month of November the Xbox One had sold more than 10 million units.

Facebook Unfriends Microsoft's Bing Search Tool


Facebook's updated search tool leaves out Bing results.

Social networking giant Facebook unfriend's Microsoft's bing search tool. According to Retuers, Facebook confirmed the move Friday.

Search is Vital for Facebook's 1.35 billion users across the globe as they attempt to locate all kinds of other information and can also find friends.

In the latest statement to VentureBeat, a spokesperson of Facebook said, "We are not currently showing web search results in Facebook search because we are focused on helping people find what is been shared with them on Facebook."But, "We continue to have a great partnership with Microsoft  in lots of different areas."

Microsoft spokesperson said to VentureBeat that, "Facebook recently changed its search engine to focus mainly on helping users tap into information that is been shared with them on Facebook versus a broader set of web results. We continue to partner with Facebook in many different areas." Spokesperson also noted that Facebook's move happened "a while ago."

Microsot Set To Unveil Windows 10 On September 2015


Microsoft: Windows 10 to be launched in September.
SEATTLE: Microsoft is planning to unveil its Windows 8 successor next year on September 2015. Chief Operating officer Kevin Turner told that the news system would be released "early next fall."

Turner told the Credit Suisse Technology Conference last month : "In the month of September 2015 we will be able to bring out this particular Operating system. That is the current plan of record."
An autumn release would put the newer version of Window on trach for launch 3 years after Windows 8, which got a mixed review from users as it confused many traditional PC users with a design which is more suited for tablets.

According to the reports, Microsoft set to unveil Windows 10 on September 2015, saying the jump in numbers from 8-10 marked a leap as it looks to unify the way people work on phones, tablets and traditional computers.

The latest test version of Windows 10 which blends the muchlove start menu and traditional look with newer features has been available for download from Microsoft's official website for more than two months.

According to test research firm Garner: "Windows 10 is still a core part of Microsoft's dominates and business the desktop computing market with almost 1.5 billion users across the globe. But the growth of tablets and smartphones means Windows now runs on only about 14% of computing devices worldwide".

Microsoft Buys Mobile Email Application Accompli


Microsoft said it is buying the mobile email management application Accompli, in a deal reported to be worth more than $200 million.
Washington: Microsoft recently said it is buying the new mobile email application called Accompli, According to reports, This mobile email management app worth is more than $200 million.

The deal gives Microsoft a startup helping everyone so that they can easily manage their mail on smartphone using Apple iOs or Google Android operating systems.

Microsoft Vice President Rajesh Jha said in a blog post: "In the world of technology now more than half of email messages are first read on smartphones, It is essential to give people smart email experiences where they go"

"The team of Accompli is passionate about this quest. Their application provides innovative ways to focus on what is important in your inbox, to schedule meetings, and work with files and attachments."

Accompli's Javier Soltero recently said on his blog "This application will become part of Microsoft's ambitious effort to re-imagine productivity for the mobile era."

He also noted that "18 months ago we starting making product and building team around the idea that we could make smartphone email system better. Today that journey continues as a part of larger organization with market reach, technology and talent that will help us take the vision of Accompli to hundrends of millions of mobile users across the globe."

Nokia And Microsoft Deal To Complete On April 25th


Nokia, Microsoft deal to complete on April 25.

Report: On Monday Nokia announced that it expected to deal with Microsoft to close on 25th of April. This announcement came around a day after leak letter Nokia had sent to its supplier, telling them that its smartphone division, which Microsoft had bought around $7.2 billion, would be now known as Microsoft mobile.

The company said in a note to media : "Nokia expects the transaction whereby the company will sell substantially all of its service business and devices to Microsoft on the 25th of April 2014. The transaction is now subject only to certain customary closing conditions. The original transaction was announced on 3rd September, 2013"

Earlier, a letter that Nokia sent to its suppliers in Finland showed that company's (Devices and Services) division would be named Microsoft Mobile and brand of Nokia would cease to exist in the mobile market.

"Kindly not that upon the close of the transaction between Nokia and Microsoft, the name of Nokia Ovi/Nokia Corporation will change to Microsoft Mobile Oy, " Noted the letter. 

"Microsoft will have to awareness campaign and marketing to tell the world that now Nokia will be known as Microsoft Mobile. Or people will find it unfamiliar. The positive news is that it is doable.

Sony Sold More Than 5.3 Million PlayStation 4 Consoles WorldWide




TOKYO (Reuters): Sony Corp has sold more than 5.3 million PlayStation 4 consoles worldwide as of February 8, the company has announced. According to the report: Sony already surpassed its full year target.

Sony Corp also said that it hoped to sell more than 5 million units by the end of March after releasing gaming console on 29th of November in Western Europe, Latin America, USA and rolling it out across other Asian countries since then.

PlayStation 4 will go on sale in Japan on 22nd of February, the last country currently scheduled to handle this device.

Microsoft said last month that it has sold more than 3 million Xbox One console by the end of December, after it was also released in the month of November.
