WhatsApp Soon To Offer Voice Calling Feature

The most awaited WhatsApp free voice call feature seems close to launch, with latest reports citing evidence in the latest build of the Android app, complete with some screenshots of the various parts of the voice-calling interface.

WhatsApp distributes to main builds for Android, with the one on Google Play less up-to date that the one found on the company's own site. It is latter build that supposedly features hidden material for the voice calling feature, probably being used for testing purposes.

According to the latest report by AndroidWorld.nl, the recent screens seen in the latest WhatsApp build for Android from the company's website which indicates that voice calling function is quite different from that of the chatting function, with different screens meant for call logs, dialing and contacts.

The recent reports also indicates an ability in the app to listen to conversations again, though this functionality is not immediately apparent from the leaked pictures and the website may be referring to another screen.

Facebook-owned WhatsApp CEO (Jan Koum), in the month of October confirmed that the voice calling feature was in the works, but had revealed the release would be delayed til Q1 2015. Koum also said the firm still has some technical problems to overcome before it can successfully launch seamless voice calling. Koum noted issues like how the application does not have access to certain microphones on the cellphones to properly enable noise cancellation.

Koum also added that the development team of WhatsApp is looking for different ways to implement the voice calling service in areas where there are poor data coverage, considering that many users of WhatsApp in emerging markets are still on 2G networks.

Report : Samsung Galaxy S6 To Have Two Curved Edges

The upcoming model of Samsung Galaxy series S6 will be made partially or entirely of metal that is something that's been rumored for couple of months.

A famous Italian site Samsung HD Blog agrees, saying that Samsung Galaxy S6 will have a unibody aluminum chassis. But even more interesting is the website's claim that the next Galaxy flagship - a Galaxy S6 edge or not a variant  -- will feature a new unique curved display.

According to the site, "The display on the upcoming smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S6) will be curved on both edges, much like an analyst predicted in the month of November, but not in the same way that Galaxy Not Edge is."

The Site Says, "The Samsung Galaxy S6's curves will reportedly be "different" from the Note Edge so that it will be easy to grip, That may means something better or more subtle curves,

According to reports, "The flagship will come in two variants, one with Exynos 7, and one with Snapdragon 810 chip, there are more speculations that both will be called The Samsung Galaxy S6 and both will be doubly curved.

The Italian website's information comes from what Google translate as "reliable sources."though this does seem to good to be true.

Again, we have been hearing this news that Samsung Galaxy S6 will be completely different. Hopefully we will find out at CES 2015.

OnePlus One Mini Images And Features Leaked Online

OnePlus One is one of the best smartphone, made all the better by how affordable it is, but for some people's tastes a 5.5 inch is also a little too large, so news of a OnePlus One Mini is likely to be well received.

But do not get too excited just yet. Only two leaked images supposedly showing the smartphone have emerged and what is immediately obvious is that it is not all that mini. In fact, apparently it is 5-inch. This 5 inch smartphone can be more appealing for those OnePlus users those who don't like big inch screen.

The main difference between OnePlus and OnePlus One Mini is camera because OnePlus One Mini have a dual 8MP camera, while OnePlus One has a 13MP rare camera and 5MP front-facing camera.

The upcoming model runs on Android version 4.4.4. It also shares a same design, albeit seemingly with a slightly rougher text on the back cover.

According to the reports, OnePlus One Mini will cost around $242, so it should be as appealingly affordable as it is big brother. 

Samsung Galaxy E5 and E7 Specifications Leaked Online

Reports: Good news for Samsung users because not South Korean giant company Samsung is working on a new line of devices - Galaxy E series.

Sammobile reveals full specification of the upcoming Galaxy E series models, Samsung Galaxy E5 (SM-E500) and Galaxy E7 (SM-E700) that are expected to kick start the upcoming series.

According to latest reports, Samsung Galaxy E5, is said to hava a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display. The E5 will feature the same hardware but with lower resolution, 8 MP front camera and a smaller size battery (2,300mAh). E5 is also said to be thinner than E7 at 6.9mm.

The second device, Samsung Galaxy E7 will sport a 5.5-inch 720p AMOLED display. Samsung Galaxy E7 will feature a 13MP front camera, 5MP front camera, 1.2 Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (expendable) and also 2,950mAh battery. This device is expected to be 7.2mm thin, with overall dimensions of 151X77X7.2mm.

Reports: Both devices will be running the latest version of Android, Lollipop (v5.0). Both devices are expected to come with non-removable batteries. 

Second Generation Moto E Specifications Leaked

Motorola recently released the successors of Moto G and Moto X, and now it is the turn of 2nd generation Moto E which is newer version of Moto E.

According to a Greek Website Techmaniacs reports, the New Moto E is expected to be launched "soon enough".

The second generation Moto E is said to sport a 4.5 inch screen with the display resolution (960X560p) which is quite similar to the previous version of Moto E. It is al said to have a 5 Megapixels camera (without LED flash) and LTE connectivity. The recent report alsso states that the New Moto E will be the same current model, which means Snapdragon 400 process, 1.2 Ghz with 1GB of RAM.

Although they did not reported about the official price of second generation Moto E, the speculations are that it will be "very low price." The device reportedly runs on Android Lollipop 5.0 with responsive software and no lags.

Microsoft Buys Mobile Email Application Accompli

Washington: Microsoft recently said it is buying the new mobile email application called Accompli, According to reports, This mobile email management app worth is more than $200 million.

The deal gives Microsoft a startup helping everyone so that they can easily manage their mail on smartphone using Apple iOs or Google Android operating systems.

Microsoft Vice President Rajesh Jha said in a blog post: "In the world of technology now more than half of email messages are first read on smartphones, It is essential to give people smart email experiences where they go"

"The team of Accompli is passionate about this quest. Their application provides innovative ways to focus on what is important in your inbox, to schedule meetings, and work with files and attachments."

Accompli's Javier Soltero recently said on his blog "This application will become part of Microsoft's ambitious effort to re-imagine productivity for the mobile era."

Today that journey continues as a part of larger organization with market reach, technology and talent that will help us take the vision of Accompli to hundrends of millions of mobile users across the globe."

Apple Announces iPhone6, iPhone 6 Plus And Apple Watch

On Tuesday during a press event in California, Apple announced its heavily rumored iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus and also much anticipated Apple watch.Apple iPhone both model iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus will come up with two new, bigger screen sizes and are thinnest phone of world's most successful smartphones manufactured has every shipped.

iPhone 6 will feature feature Digital image stablization and iPhone 6 Plus will feature Optical image stabilization, Thanks to Apple because noew you an shoot 1080p video at either 30fps or 60fps, while slow motion video to a monstrous 240 fps. The other features of video are time lapse and new continuous auto-focus.

The Apple Watch will come up with three different versions two size are 38 mm and 42 mm, which will be available to buy from early new year, with price starting at $349.

Nokia And Microsoft Deal To Complete On April 25th

Report: On Monday Nokia announced that it expected to deal with Microsoft to close on 25th of April. This announcement came around a day after leak letter Nokia had sent to its supplier, telling them that its smartphone division, which Microsoft had bought around $7.2 billion, would be now known as Microsoft mobile.

The company said in a note to media : "Nokia expects the transaction whereby the company will sell substantially all of its service business and devices to Microsoft on the 25th of April 2014. The transaction is now subject only to certain customary closing conditions. The original transaction was announced on 3rd September, 2013"

Earlier, a letter that Nokia sent to its suppliers in Finland showed that company's (Devices and Services) division would be named Microsoft Mobile and brand of Nokia would cease to exist in the mobile market.

"Kindly not that upon the close of the transaction between Nokia and Microsoft, the name of Nokia Ovi/Nokia Corporation will change to Microsoft Mobile Oy, " Noted the letter. 

"Microsoft will have to awareness campaign and marketing to tell the world that now Nokia will be known as Microsoft Mobile. Or people will find it unfamiliar. The positive news is that it is doable.

Official Google Camera App For Android Is Now Available

Rumors of Google camera app have prove true now, as Official Google Camera app for Android hits the Play store with new features. You can download this app from Google Play Store. The new camera app is designed for phones and tablets running Android 4.4 KitKat though it does not specify if there is any other limitation beyond this.

Google Camera snaps easy and quickly photos and videos both and has creative picture modes like Sphere, Photo, Panorama, Lens Blur. In Google Camera app Panorama mode has been improved. Users can now easily capture panorama in high resolution.

BlackBerry CEO John Chen Says Firm May Exit Handset Business

CEO of BlackBerry John Chen has taken to the official blog of firm just to clarify the Reuters article which sad it was thinking about leaving handset business. In nutshell, it's not.

 John Chen writes : "I want to assure you that I have no intention of selling off or abandoning this business any time soon.

" I am well aware that you still love BlackBerry handsets. I love them too and I know they created the base of this company. Today our focus is on finding a way to make this business more profitable."

In the end he told : "We have not given up and we are not leaving handsets business." So there you have it.

CEO of BlackBerry John Chen says he is not opposed to completely existing mobile business if his company does not find a way to stop losing more money. Said in an recent interview with Reuters, Chen plainly stated:

" If I can not make more money on smartphones, I will not be in the smartphone business. You have to live short term. Maybe the prior management had the luxury to bet the universe would come to it. It do not have the luxury at all. I am losing both money and burning cash."

John Chen also said that Blackberry could make more money on shipping 10 million handsets per year, which is not a huge quantity, especially when you consider that back in the year 2011 Blackberry shipping around 52.3 million devices.

Sinking Ship? But the company is a more weaker than expected, directly down from a 20% handsets market share in the year 2009 to less than 2% now. Even if the company does continue with consumer handsets it does not sounds like that side of the business will be such a focus any more as John Chen claimed that "We are not investing more money to maintain the Angry Birds latest version." Moving forward the company will focus on business client instead. 

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Specifications And Features Leaked

Report: Samsung Galaxy S5 has not even hit retail stores yet, but there are rumors about Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Japanese famous website CMNO.com has released a list of features that will reportedly make their wish to the Galaxy Note 4.

According to latest report, In Galaxy Note 4 Samsung will not use the fingerprint scanner. Instead users will be able to unlock their device by simply writing on their screens. The screen size of Galaxy Note 4 remains unknown, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is likely to have a higher resolution display. There are more rumors that next-generation phablet will have 2K resolution (2560X1440p), instead of Full HD (1920X1080p).

The new smartphone is also expected to get 20.7 Megapixels camera, even Samsung Galaxy S5 has only a 16 Megapixels camera. This camera is likely to feature optical image stabilization. Apple iPhone 5 is the only smartphone that has 64-bit processor and Samsung is looking to join its rank with Galaxy Note 4. This smartphone will reportedly have a 64-bit processor, paired with 64 GB RAM made on the 20nm process.

Last year Samsung unveiled the world's first 4GB RAM for smartphones, but has not use the same in any of its products. In order to make full use of computing capabilities 64-bit processors requires atleast 4 GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Note is expected to run on latest version of Android 4.5, which is likely to be unveiled at Google I/O in the month of June 2014. The phablet is also expected to have 3600-3800mAH battery, 128 GB internal storage, support for dual-band Wi-Fi networks and fast 4G. same like Samsung Galaxy S5, the upcoming Galaxy Note 4 IS expected to be water and dust-resistant.

According to the report, The device will cost less than $800. Still there is no word on Galaxy Note 4's launch date. it is expected that the model will be unveiled in the month of August or may be September this year. Samsung may once again unveil the phable at IFA this year at tech expo in Berlin or host a seperate event around the same time.

Report : Apple In Talks To Buy Renesas Chip Unit

Report: Apple in talks to buy chipmaker Renesas SP Drivers to improve iPhone display/battery life.

Nikkei Asian Review Report :  Apple Inc is in talks with Japan's Renesas Electronics over the possibility of acquiring the unit of the company that builds chips for smartphone displays used in the iPhone and different devices.According to Nikkei report, the iPhone and iPad maker is "looking into" the purchase which could give the technology giant the in-house talent pool necessary to improve sharpness of image on product displays, as well as boosting battery life.

According to the report of Japanese Publication Nikkei, without identifying a source. Renesas Electronics own around 55% stake in Renesas SP Drivers, it is joint venture with Sharp Corporation 6753. T and Taiwan's powerchip.

The deal which would give a buyer Renasas's full stake in the JV, could be around $479 million. Report claims that if a deal is struck between Renesas and Apple, Sharp corp would see its ownership shares to the tech monster on request. 

Renesas SP drivers a leading supplier of controller ships and driver for both small and midsize LCDs with a market share of roughly a 3rd of the market worldwide. Nikkie reports : The JV focuses more on the development of displays chips and drivers, which can account for roughly 10% percent of battery usage as well as determining a displays' image quality.

Apple basically uses a different types suppliers to assemble it's products.but Renesas SP is currently the supplier for iPhone LCD chips.
